**~ Christmas Cards ~**

So this is what I have been doing for the last several days.... well, more like the last two weeks! LOL These are just a few of the cards I have been working on (several of each!) for friends and family for Christmas! I shared a few the other day (snowman & cabin) that I had originally done using my DS (Design Studio)..... I was so excited to FINALLY get to use it!!!

Anyways, with these cards I used the same shape for the back as I did the front - however I didn't allow it to mak all the cuts in the back half of the card - causing it to leave a solid-shape.

This first one - Snowflake with blue...... it just reminds me of a Sugar Cookie that is decorated with light blue powdered sugar icing..... mmmmmm....

Alright... enough daydreaming about food! LOL I used my sewing maching to stitch the center of the Snowflak after running it thru the CB using Swiss Dots.... gently pressed a blue ink pad onto the "swiss dots" and then went over each "point" using Icicle Stickles. I added clear "skittles" and used a Bic Mark-Its marker to color them a matching blue..........

This Wreath card is similar to the Snowflake card I shared above.... I inked the edges of the wreath and also "lifted" the cut parts for added dimension to the card. I also added clear "skittles" and just colored them red......

For this Snowflake card...... it's just very basic..... the paper is already glittered but I think I may add a ribbon to it somehow......

OK... when you first look at this pic.... you're probably wondering what in the world I done!!! LOL It's simple.... I made a Christmas Stocking card.... but I used this "feathery fluffy stuff" to add to top..... I also ran the top of the card thru my CB using "D'vine Swirls" and then added stickles.....

The Ice Skate cards are made the same way as the Christmas Stocking card.....
This Christmas Stocking card (and the one following it...) was so much fun to make! Did I mention I love to "ink" everything!!! LOL I even made the "nail" look old & rusty but you can't tell it in the picture!

I have been trying to get my mom to come over and play with the DS...... but trying to get a few hours of free time with her is almost impossible these days! She's definately a busy woman! LOL Perhaps over Christmas break..... if I get a day off! LOL She has a Cricut too and enjoys scrapbooking and card making almost as much as I do!!!!
Please feel free to leave me any comments.... about these cards or anything else..... I'd love to hear from you! : )

**~ Paper Bag Album ~**

This is my very first Paper Bag Album.... it has it flaws but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out! All the paper is from "My Minds Eye" Christmas stack... which I absolutely LOVE!!! It's adorable and I love how it all goes together!

This instructions are relatively easy.... I started with three brown paper lunch bags..... layed them out flat and as I put each one down I just shifted it to the right about an inch (they kinda looked like stairs when they were laying there).... I started with the bag that was going to be the "middle" pages of the album.... I folded it over.... making one end longer (or shorter, depending on how you look at it!) by about an inch..... I done the same with the next two bags only the second bag was folded with one being longer by about 3 inches and the last bag was about 5 inches..... this causes the "Waterfall" effect when the pages are put together.... you can see what I'm talking about in the first three pictures....

Here you can see what happens when you (or in this case, ME!) get the bright idea that you should sew your album down the center seam.... all that manages to do is perforate the pages.... therefore, causing them to "come apart at the seam!"........ that's why each page is seperate rather than actually being all one piece.... it's OK though because I do really like how this turned out..... Each page has a photo-mat.... I used burnt-umber chalk around the edges and then used my Staz-On Timber Brown ink to "ink" all around.... all of that after using my CM corner rounder.... once all of this was done I ran each mat thru my Cuttle Bug using my Swiss Dots folder.....
By using these brown paper lunch bags.... I was able to have the center of each page "open".... this creates a pocket of sorts that can be used for journaling or even for more pictures.... I used my MS Lacey border punch to "embellish" the end of each center page..... I also chalked each of these on the front & back to they can be used for both the front side and the back side of each page......
For embellishments.... I used everything from old buttons, shaped paper-clips, "skittles", ribbon, staples, snaps & eyelets...... even some "blingy" snowflakes!
I hope you enjoy looking at this as much as I enjoyed making it! It really is a simple project to do and I'm looking forward to making several more as Christmas gifts......
Happy Scrapping!

**~Second Flash Card Album ~**

The 3rd DT Challenge is to make a mini-Christmas
album using Jumbo Playing cards or flash cards... in my previous post I shared a few of the pages that I done for this challenge. I loved it so much that I done a second one as well! This one will be for my son for Christmas! I'm going to print the pics that I want for this album in black & white and then place them on the pages.

I'm not going to share all the pages of the first album with you because it's for the DT Challenge and I'll post it on Tuesday when they are all ready! I've had several of the DT Members email me already - just to share their excitment over this challenge! So naturally I'm really excited to see what they have done with this!

So here it is.... my son's mini-Christmas album.... please enjoy! : )
